Danger Danger, Low Voltage

Night 2 of The Blowout caused the lights to well, Blowout. Just as 10 Words for Snow started playing thier set, the lights at the Locker Room blew. The problem was fixed after about a few minutes and everything was good the rest of the night.

Crowds seem to be down this year. Maybe it was the rain last night, but where was everybody.

Some of the bands that entertained the MCR crew last night included Shipwreck Union, The Trembling, Lisboa, Ten Words for Snow, The Questions, New Grenada, Colic, The Hard Lessons, The Prime Ministers and The Fags. Thanks to John Speck for passing out a bag of buttons for everyone in the crowd!!!

Why haven’t we seen the Questions before and hopefully they play again soon.

Hold your excitement, but it’s construction time again!!!96 will be closed tonight at 8 pm from Telegraph to Southfield, which is the exact way I need to go to get to Hamtramck.

The Free Press also tells us about the bands going to SXSW AND Little Steven’s Garage Band search.

We will give the Freep props for featuring high school garage rockers The Dollfaces this week.

Memphis Smoke is holding a benefit for WDET with some local musicians. The article says the show is tonight(friday), but the sidebar says Saturday. My guess is you should call ahead.

The News takes a look at the band The Gypsy Strings. They also use the worst picture ever in a newspaper.

Hope to see everyone out tonight in Hamtown!!!
