Rag Wrap – April 7, 2005

Work places will be a bit less crowded tomorrow while bars will be experiencing lines out the door all because of the annual Detroit tradition of Opening Day. As everyone is skipping work, puking on sidewalks and starting fights , Adam Graham of the Detroit News lets us know of all the new places around Comerica Park that you could stumble into.

Suprisingly the Tigers have started the season out 2-0 which is the 1st time this has happenend since 1986. If you haven’t already, learn all about this year’s team.

The Red Wings begin their quest for the Cup tonight down at the Joe against the Nashville Predators.

Plymouth is going to consider using the Compuware Arena parking lot as a place to play drive-in movies this summer. This is great news for teens in the area because now they don’t have to wait untill their parents go to work to have sex.

The Gorilla is filling in this week over at Whatevs and he informs us that the Candy Band’s song “Wheels on the Bus” is #1 on XM kids. There is no truth to the rumor that Pawn Shoppe Heart is #2.

The Food Network will be showing “The Best Of:Detroit” this Thursday at 10:30. Featured eateries include Tribute, The Grill at the Ritz Carlton, Birmingham’s Streetside Seafood among others. Sadly the bacon at The Bronx was passed up.

If you happen to run into me (Big Matt) downtown tomorrow, feel free to buy me a beer because it will be my birthday. Special thanks to my old radio partner Dave over at the Palace for putting my name up on the scoreboard last night on the birthday list.
