When The World Stops Spinning

Johnny Loftus of the Metro Times headed down to Austin last week for SXSW and brought us back a report on some of the Detroit bands that played the festival.

Freer will be playing the Lager House this Friday for the release of their new cd “Secret Chorus”. Playing with them will be The Silent Years and The Office. If you want to see some newer, up and coming bands around the area, this is a show you should be at. Also on Friday over at the Belmont, Troy Gregory and the Stepsisters will be playing along with the Volebeats. Members of The Dirtbombs will also be dj’ing throughout the night.

Saturday catch the Childbite cd release show at Smalls. Opening up will be Stationary Odysy, Wildcatting, Lafcadio. At the Magic Stick is a show big it needs 3 posters. The Paybacks will be taking the stage along with Saturday Looks Good To Me, Grande Nationals and The Displays.
