Weekend Lowdown – May 3, 2007

Friday at the 2500 Club check out Chapstik along with Fun Ender & Idol & the Whip,Great Lakes Myth Society will be at Jacoby’s, Dutch Pink will be having a cd release party at the Magic Bag, the Grande Nationals will be opening up the show. At the Lager House catch Zoos Of Berlin, Eons, Heroes & Villians. Over in Hamtramck at The Belmont will be The Questions, Friends of Dennis Wilson, Bird Dogs and Bad Faces Clan.

Saturday-Gore Gore Girls along with Eons are at Northern Lights,Over at the Belmont Hellen will be playing with The Hotness, The Bohemian House plays host to The Willowz,Bad Medicine at the Campfire vs. Kelly Jean Caldwell & Wheels on Fire. At the Bullfrog Bar catch the Beggars and The Dead Bodies,over at the Majestic, Adult will be taking the stage along with Parts and Labor and Tussle.

Tomorrow at Cheli’s Chili is the launch party for a new section of the Detroit News website called My Time. Bands or promoters should make sure they check out this new feature on The Detroit News site because there is now a spot where you can add your shows or events by yourself. My Time also features a bunch of articles on upcoming shows and events and an advice column called “Ask Melody”.

Head over to a new local site called Semi-Live. Basically a couple guys have been taping local shows and they are up on the site for you to download. Right now there are sets from Lee Marvin Computer Arm, Timothy Monger, Heroes and Villans just to name a few.
