Crain's tells how almost overnight Detroit has become the Hollywood of the Midwest, look for a bunch of A-list movie starts taking in a Tigers game later this summer (maybe).

The Detroit Festival of The Art's lineup is out and features several local area acts including American Mars, Stepping In It and Thornetta Davis. The Festival takes place June 6-8 in Midtown, Detroit.

In other news, musician Neil Young is moving his ~~stupid~~ Lionel Train company's headquarters out Metro Detroit (Chesterfield Township). Did anyone even know that they were based here?

Because they hired the same guy who put Marvel comics in Chapter 11 to get themselves out of Chapter 11.
