Concert Review: Magic Shop/Speed Greasy @ The Belmont

Last night The Belmont was took over by the excellent jams of Magic Shop and Speedy Greasy. Both proved themselves to be some of the best talent we got in town. What two words could best describe rock and roll? How bout’ speedy and greasy. Great riffs + high energy + Mike Hentch behind the kit = a really great band. Be sure to check these guys out next time they play (October 17th at Northern Lights Lounge), you’ll be glad you did.

Now for Magic Shop, there your new favorite band. Rolling through there set of addicting, can’t help but dance to tunes, Magic Shop stole the night. When the powerful, foot stomping frenzy that is Magic Shop gets on stage they can’t be stopped. Leaving the crowd begging for an encore, which I’m sure would have been given if not for Nawara breaking just about all of his strings at the end of the set.
