Rag Wrap – August 28, 2008

The Metro Times reviews Love Meet’s Lust’s latest offering Bitter Company (read our review here). According to the Love Meets Lust’s official web site, they will be releasing another album later this year. Two albums in one year? Now that takes some 1960′s size rock ‘n’ roll balls! Check them out at Arts, Beats & Eats this weekend.

Real Detroit looks at this weekend’s upcoming Hamtramck Festival, which will feature a performance on Saturday by one of my all-time favorites Mike Hurtt. Hurtt will also be playing at the Lager House later that night.

Real Detroit also talks to Arts, Beats & Eats performers The Hard Lessons and their quest to find a new drummer, as well as the Detroit Techno Militia.

RD does not have the only Hard Lesson’s interview this week. They’re playing an encore Arts, Beats & Eats/Metromix show at the Crofoot on Friday night which is the same day they’re playing the actual Arts, Beats & Eats Festival in Pontiac. The Hard Lessons are on the bill with Metromix’s other interview; Our Brother the Megazord, as well as Prussia, Millions of Brazilians, and Zoos of Berlin. (get in the show for free)

And remember kids, don’t steal digital music.
