OUTRAGEOUS CHERRY

Rag Wrap – March 18, 2009

Detour recaps I, Crime‘s 7″ Record Release show at the Old Miami last Saturday night (complete with an MP3.)

Detroit’s techno forefathers Carl Craig, Kevin Saunderson and Derrick May will all be performing at this year’s Movement Festival.

Everyone’s favorite Detroit Rock documentary It Came From Detroit will be shown at this year’s Music Doc Festival in Gothenberg, Sweden.

Deep Cutz looks at Almost Free’s upcoming Cd Release this weekend at Small’s.

Detroit proto-punksters Death rise from the grave (get it).  They’re pretty kick ass, check out Death’s MySpace Page here (I’m a big fan of their album’s pre-Renaissance Center Detroit Skyline cover art).

Speaking of rising from the grave, Rodriguez (who bowed out of this year’s Blowout) will for the first time embark on a nation-wide tour this spring, including a stop at the Magic Stick. Dates below:

4/24 – Beachland Ballroom, Cleveland, OH
5/08 – Schubas Tavern, Chicago, IL
5/09 – Magic Stick, Detroit, MI
