Formed in late 1976 , Cinecyde may very well be the first Detroit punk rock band ever. Cynecyde combines classic punk rock with horror b-movie style elements that have become the hallmark of the band’s lyrics.
Cynicyde’s lead singer Gary Reichel and guitarist Jim Olenski also c0-own the heralded Royal Oak/Clawson video store Thomas Video, which stocks some of the most hard to find and rare b-movies known to man.
Reichel and Olenski also owned the famed Tremor Records, which has published music by such noted 80’s Detroit punk rock acts as the 3-D Invisibles, Hysteric Narcotics, Vertical Pillows, The Colors, Snake Out, Junk Monkeys and The Volebeats.
