The Magic Bag delivers a fairly eclectic mix of music but most of the time focuses on various forms of rock music. “The Bag” attracts national bands and artists along with the top acts in the Detroit scene. You will find this club to be one of the nicer live music venues to catch a show in town. Tables and chairs are located on the sides and in the back of the club for those who prefer to relax, but you can get right up close to the stage as well if you choose. The tiered floor makes it easy to see the stage from most any point in the club. Parking sometimes takes awhile to locate, mainly because of all the other bars and restaurants in the area, but if you are patient you will most likely find a free spot with about a 5-10 minute walk to the club. If you are looking for a night out that doesn’t include a dose of rock and roll, the Magic Bag also has what is called the “Brew and View” on Wednesday’s and Thursdays where a first run movie is shown at a small price.
