Throw in some metal, disco,
punk,
garage, humorous lyrics and a guitar player who calls himself the 'Rock
and Roll Indian' and you would have a fairly good idea of what Electric
Six is all about. Formerly known as The Wildbunch, the band
crosses all musical styles and genres to create a unique sound that has
been dubbed “disco punk.” After a legal dispute with a D.J. of the same name, The Wildbunch regrouped as Electric Six in 2001. Released that same year, the infectious single Danger High Voltage was the first recording under the name Electric Six. They also re-recorded the song with Jack White on backing vocals in 2003. The song went on to be a hit in the U.K. reaching at #2 on the charts. The band's first, the full-length album, entitled Fire, hit stores May 20, 2003. Since then the band has had numerus linup changes, tons of music videos, played several festivals including Lollapalooza and Coachella, and has released three addational full-lenght LP's
