Millions of Brazilians
In the short time that Millions of Brazilians (MoB) have been playing together, the trio has already gained a reputation around Detroit for their live shows, playing to receptive crowds at the Hamtramck Blowout for two years in a row. With their brand of dance-infused rock, Millions of Brazilians have drawn comparisons to like-minded bands like Bloc Party and Franz Ferdinand. The live lineup consists of two guitars (one of which uses an octave pedal for deeper, funkier sounds) and a drummer. The band released their debut record, the Half Horse / Half Horse EP, on vinyl in early 2009, which featured a dense, atmospheric, electronica-heavy sound.
