The Muggs

The Muggs Band PhotoThe three piece Detroit band The Muggs are legendary for their monumental rock guitar riffs and a back to basics style blues. Formed in early 2000, the band went on an indeffinate hiatus after young bass player Tony DeNardo suffered a paralyzing stroke.  Not wanting to continue The Muggs wihtout Tony,  vocalist and guitar player Danny Methric and drummer Matt Rost pursed other projects, while Tony recovered (most notably was Danny Methric stint as gutarist in the Detroit rock bands The Go and  The Paybacks) After Tony DeNardo fought back and learned to play his bass lines on a piano, the band reformed in 2003 determined to bring their “dirty” stye of Detroit rock to the world. This cumulated with a well received appears on the 2007 FOX TV show The Next Great American Band.

In 2009, The Muggs album On With The Show won the Detroit Music Award for “Outstanding Rock/Pop Recording.”
