The Sights

The Sights Band PhotoThe only way someone wouldn’t enjoy The Sights would be if they didn’t have a pulse. The Sights bring an energy and excitement to their music that is reminiscent of 60’s brit-rock. Combining sounds of Motown, The Who and early Pink Floyd, along with the Detroit garage style, The Sights have created a fresh sound of their own.

Formed in 1995 by high school friends, Eddie Barnaek (guitar, vocals) and Mark Leahey (former bassist), The Sights have received glowing reviews of both of their releases, 1999’s Are you Green and 2002’s Got What We Want, from such publications as NME, All Music Guide and The Metro Times. Both albums were recorded at Jim Diamond’s Ghetto Recorders in Detroit.

In 2006 the band split up to peruse other music endeavors.
