mcr profile
Frills, thrills and rawwwwk. The
Sirens are the first ladies of Motor City Rock n' Roll. This
saucy girl-group plays
mostly covers, but they do it in a way that claims the tunes as their
own. Led by diva Muffy Kroha, who towers above the fans in sassy 18
inch
boots, the Sirens present a
brand of feminism that keeps the toughest of blokes begging for more.
The Sirens released their debut single in 2003 on the French Wiped Out
label, and the record quickly sold out. A full length is due on Get Hip Records in 2004. The album
will be produced and engineered by the Flaming Lips'
bass player Michael Ivins with a few tracks by Jim
Diamond. --Ryan Sult
