mcr profile
The Go know what rock and roll really is, plain and
simple. They bring an energy and brashness to their music that is
definitely a throwback to another era in Detroit music. Playing with a
style that is mostly
60’s and 70’s garage, mixing in a r&b flavor and a hint of soul.
“Howlin”
Bobby Harlow provides the vocals and a thrilling stage presence for The
Go. John Krautner (bass, vocals), Ken Tudrick (guitar vocals) and
Marc Fellis (drums) create a sound that is heavy on fuzz tones and
distortion, which makes for a dirty rock kind of sound. Jack White was briefly a member of the band and
co-wrote a couple of the tunes on Whatcha Doin' ("Keep on
Trash" & Time For Moon").
The Go released a full-length release in 1999
entitled Whatca
Doin’ on the SubPop label and in 2002
came out with the Capricorn EP. In 2003, the U.K. based
Lizard King label released a self-titled full-length. --Matthew Caruana
