The Go know what rock n’ roll really is, plain and simple. They bring an energy and brashness to their music that is definitely a throwback to another era in Detroit music. Playing with a style that is mostly 60’s and 70’s garage, mixing in a R&B flavor and a hint of soul. Led by longtime vocalist “Howlin” Bobby Harlow and bass player John Krautner, The Go create a sound that is heavy on fuzz tones and distortion, which makes for a dirty rock kind of sound.
In the late 1990′s, Jack White was briefly a member of The Go and even co-wrote a couple of the tunes on the band’s debut album Whatcha Doin’ (“Keep on Trash” and “Time For Moon”) which was released on SubPop Records in 1999. Since then, The Go have gone on to release several outstanding albums and have toured the world over with much critical and fan admiration.
